Georgian Pinchbeck Chatelaine Gold Tone pinchbeck metal

This was made to hang off from the waist of the skirt from a big loop. To hold implements for sewing or writing or even dancing to write on your dance cards. It is made from pinchbeck which is the secret alloy that looks gold but is not gold. Circa 1790 – 1840 that makes it late Georgian or early Victorian. There are three hanging loops for attaching items, the center has three pendant panels of violins. The finish has darkened. Good condition. It measures appx 5”x2”
The back also has a loop at the bottom for hanging a watch.
Item appears as 200 yrs old. Sold as is where is in stunning cleaned condition.
